Joint HELACLOUD SDS project with FUCHS SE presented at VCI and DSAG events
Last week, we presented our Helacloud SDS solution at the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) and the following day at the German-speaking SAP User Group (DSAG).
As part of their working groups on Environment, Health and Safety and Product Compliance, Tatjana Spahl (FUCHS Group) and Helasoft presented our HELACLOUD SDS implementation project and demonstrated the automated extraction and further processing of safety data sheets up to the transfer to the SAP system.
Thank you again Tatjana for your time and your great support! And of course many thanks for the many interesting questions and suggestions from the participants, We look forward to continuing the exchange.
Of course, updates on the development status of SAP EHS and Product Compliance were also on the agenda on both days.
Many people are asking themselves: When is the right time to switch to S/4HANA Product Compliance? Answer from Ralf Coenning (Chief Product Owner for SAP Product Compliance): the moment is now! Because even if the authoring of safety data sheets is still a while off – a first rudimentary version is planned for the summer – the Dangerous Goods Management is is already available and also product marketability can already be worked with. For all missing components, work can still be carried out in parallel in the “classic” version in a hybrid scenario.
For the EHS area, Wolfgang Bock (Chief Product Owner SAP EHS) outlined the transition path to SAP S/4HANA. The EHSM modules and Occupational Health can be continued directly with minor adjustments. For Waste, Industrial Hygiene and Environmental Compliance 3.0, on the other hand, there is no immediate successor; major measures are required here. Overall, Bock recommends starting such a project with a standardized S/4HANA readiness check!
This time, there were further contributions on topics such as SAP PLM as well as some exciting customer presentations in practice, which were met with great interest by the participants.
